Mission Statement The mission of the Rehabilitation Services Education Program is to provide rehabilitation education, research, and community services that are in the forefront of the rehabilitation field and that foster practical leadership in our students. Purpose Assist People with physical or mental disabilities in achieving their greatest physical, mental, social, educational, and vocational potential. Students learn effective delivery of services, skills to ameliorate the conditions of persons with disabilities, and gain competency in the broader field of rehabilitation. Job functions may include coordinating the diagnosis and evaluation of the disabling condition, interviewing, individual planning, arranging for various services to help reduce the effect of disability, assisting in the selection of a suitable vocational goal, facilitating personal and social adjustment, job placement and follow up.
